This lot of natural was processed from cherries received at RTC’s Cyiwa CWS on 16th June. Upon receiving cherries, proper sorting was done, followed by floating to ensure that all the poor-quality cherries were separated from the good quality. The quality cherry was sent direct to the drying beds. Drying coffee at Cyiya involves covering beds with nylex at night and during the rain to prevent excessive humidity. It took 26 days of this lot to be fully dry, and the coffee had MC of 10.8% when the coffee was removed from drying beds to the store.

About the Farm
NSAMIRYO Paul is a farmer who lives in Nyamasheke sector, Kirimbi sector, Karengera cell, Rubumba village. He was born in 1952 and has 7 childrens. He has 1175 coffee trees and can get around 2tonnes of cherries every year, which help him to pay for his children's school fees/expenses. He also saved part of money to improve his coffee farm by buying fertilizer and tools.
