In the verdant hills of Rwanda's western province, in Rutsiro
district, Nzungize Keza Anita tended to the legacy of her family
with unwavering pride. She is a third-generation coffee farmer,
inheriting the responsibility from her grandfather who had
established Nkora Coffee in 1947 under the decree of King Mutara
III Rudahigwa. Nestled amidst 4,800 coffee trees, stood as a
testament to her family's deep-rooted connection to the land and
its rich coffee heritage.
Joining COOPAC was a pivotal moment for Keza. It not only provided
access to premium markets but also imparted invaluable training in
advanced farming techniques. Under its guidance, Keza honed her
skills in producing high-quality coffee, enhancing both the flavor
profile and productivity of her harvests.
