Producer Story:
Mahembe Coffee Ltd., a flourishing coffee producer in Rwanda,
proudly operates Nyarubuye CWS. The station plays a vital role in
upholding the company's commitment to producing exceptional coffee
while supporting local farmers. Founded and operated by Justin
Musabyimana, a visionary born and raised in the Mahembe sector,
Mahembe Coffee Ltd. began with Justin's decision in 2008 to process
his own cherries instead of selling them to neighboring stations.
His dedication led to the establishment of Coffee Washing Stations,
which achieved remarkable success in the international competitions
in the past ten years.
Today, Nyarubuye CWS is equipped with modern technology, such as
Penagos eco-pulpers, fermentation tanks, and raised drying beds,
enabling Mahembe Coffee Ltd. to process large volumes of coffee
cherries with the utmost care and attention to quality. The
Nyarubuye CWS collaborates closely with local coffee farmers
organized under the TWITEZIMBERE MAHEMBE association, with a
notable 67% representation of women. Together, they contribute to
the ongoing success of Mahembe Coffee Ltd. and the production of
high quality Rwandan coffee.
