This exceptional lot is cultivated in Southern Province, Nyamagabe District,BWENDA MOUNTAINS in the highlands at elevations between 1,800 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The combination of cooler mountain temperatures, abundant rainfall, and nutrient-rich soil creates an ideal microclimate for specialty coffee cultivation. These conditions allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly on the tree, enhancing sugar development and producing denser beans with more complex flavor profiles. This coffee is naturally processed, the freshly hand picked cherries are delivered within 5 hours at Bwenda coffee wet mill where they are hand sorted, floated and cleaned in spring water to remove any dust. Cherries are left for 24 hours in the drying undershade facility before being carried to sun raised drying beds; the climate at Bwenda allows to cherries to dry slowly while being turned rguraly for even drying for 25-30 days. Each step of production, from careful cherry selection to sun-drying and milling, reflects Ernest’s commitment to quality and his deep knowledge of the land. The result is a cup that not only showcases the unique terroir of the region but also tells the story of a passionate farmer's craft.
