Producer Story:
Kivubelt Coffee Ltd was founded in 2011 with the vision of vertical integration of production on our own farms and production of small holders. The Company owns more than 45 ha of coffee plantations located in Nyamasheke district at the shores of the Lake Kivu. This idea was from a Rwandan woman FURAHA UMWIZEYE TEUSCHER, when she finished her master’s degree in economics in Switzerland, she was motivated to return in Rwanda to contribute in a positive way to the society and to the economy of her motherland country. The company generates Jobs directly and indirectly to the rural communities through its owned two coffee washing stations and coffee plantations that divided into three estates named Jarama, Kamajumba and Nyaruzina. Kivubelt Coffee Ltd directly employed 22 permanents workers and also between 100-600 casual workers and Season workers. Mrs Kalila Kantengwa is the Managing Director of Kivubelt Coffee Ltd. Jarama Farm is supervised by the Agronomist Muhire Lambert under the direction of the Operation Manager Nsengimana Gaspard.
